2.1 Device Identifier

When you activate a Pro license, the Extension generates a random device identifier and sends it to our server to bind the license to your device. This ID contains no personally identifiable information and is randomly generated on your device.

2.2 License Key

If you purchase a Pro license, you voluntarily enter your license key into the Extension. This key is sent to our server for validation purposes. Your license key is stored securely in our database and is not shared with any third party.

2.3 Email Address

If you purchase a license through Paddle (our payment processor), Paddle may share your email address with us solely for the purpose of delivering your license key and providing customer support. We do not use your email for marketing, newsletters, or any other purpose.

2.4 Scroll Count (Free Tier)

The free version of the Extension counts scroll events locally on your device to enforce the 500-scroll free trial limit. This count is stored locally using Chrome's storage API and is never transmitted to our servers unless you choose to activate a Pro license.

4. Data Storage and Security

Local Storage: Your scroll settings, presets, and license activation status are stored locally on your device using Chrome's storage.sync and storage.local APIs. This data stays on your device unless you uninstall the Extension.
Server Storage (Supabase): License keys and device IDs are stored securely on our Supabase database, which uses industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit.
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

5. Third-Party Services

Paddle — Payment processing. We do not collect, store, or have access to your credit card or payment details. Paddle's privacy policy applies to all payment data: paddle.com/legal/privacy

6. Data Retention

We retain your license and email data for as long as your license is valid. If you request deletion of your data, we will delete all associated records within 30 days, except where we are required to retain data for legal or regulatory purposes.
